Riverside Headquarters Building for MHS Homes

Overview

MHS Homes is a provider of socially affordable houses in the Medway area. Their new 5,000m² office building, on the bank of the Medway, brought their array of smaller offices into a new, sustainable home.

The building has been designed to minimise its impact on the environment and use energy in a responsible manner. Night-time air is circulated throughout the structure of the building to provide heating and cooling without mechanical air conditioning, creating one of he country’s most efficient and sustainable office buildings.

Broadside won the RICS South East Sustainability Award in 2007 and was runner up in the Regeneration category.

In 2008, the building won the Culture and Design Award for a New Building.
