Working with our client Boreal IM, HMY refurbished a tired and outdated warehouse with offices to provide 66,900 ft² of accommodation to BREEAM Excellent standard with an EPC rating of A. The sustainable strategy included, heat pumps, 535 pv panels with an output of 214kWp, 12 electric vehicle charging points with infrastructure for 100% parking. A green wall with rainwater harvesting to provide irrigation was installed which will remove particulates, increase biodiversity on the site and contribute to cooling of the south facade.
Internally high quality finishes to the office open plan area and cores were required to enhance its marketing potential and provide flexible accommodation. HMY acted as Lead Consultant, Architect and Principal Designer and were novated to the Design & Build Contractor for RIBA Stages 5 & 6.
