Mote Park Cafe and Visitor Centre opens its doors to the people of Maidstone

The final part of the Mote Park Spatial Framework design, the visitor centre, cafe and WC/Changing Place has now been completed, with the cafe opening welcomed on Easter weekend.

Commissioned by Maidstone Borough Council, the £2.5m new facility offers a cafe space with close visual connection to the adjacent Spatial Framework children’s play area and adventure park, a flexible use function space and fully accessible park WCs. The low energy, passively ventilated design forges a connection between the open parkland and the widening of the River Len, known as the Mote Park lake.
