HazleMcCormackYoung (HMY) was proud to sponsor the recent G4C networking event held on Thursday 12 September 2025, offering attendees a behind-the-scenes look at the transformational Bench Project on Bench Street, Dover.

Situated right on HMY’s doorstep, the £90+ million development promises to deliver major economic benefits to the local area — with projections suggesting over £90 million of economic value once complete.

The evening began with a special guided site tour hosted by Jenner’s Contractors, who shared valuable insights into the project’s progress, design considerations, and future plans. Attendees were able to see first-hand how the development is reshaping Bench Street and contributing to Dover’s regeneration.

Following the site tour, guests gathered at The Art Club in Dover for an evening of drinks, conversation, and networking. The relaxed setting allowed industry colleagues and peers to share ideas, discuss opportunities for collaboration, and strengthen connections across the construction and architecture community.

Robert, a Chartered Architectural Technologist here at HMY describes the experience as being “a great event to attend. I was able to learn a lot about the Bench project which I have been walking past each day. Being able to speak to the project team about the challenges they have faced and the benefits to the local community was fascinating.”

The Bench Project represents a major step in Dover’s regeneration, with the promise of new opportunities for businesses and residents alike. HMY looks forward to seeing the project’s impact unfold and to attending the next G4C event.
